The new process looked like this on an iPhone:

NOTE:
Yes you can use the option to 'open another app' but this will merely open Snapchat and not deep-link to the person's profile. Thus breaking the automation & ease to connect & meaning it actually adds even more steps to get back to the Snapcode to scan.

But what does this mean for you?

Just being aware that there are extra steps to links shared on Facebook specifically & as such the Snapcodes are going to be the best way now to share – but remember to add your username below in the comments (so that people who can't scan because of the glare / reflections on screen).

Some other ways to be discovered Easily on Snapchat:

1. List yourselves on Ghostcodes
2. Tweet about your Snapchat story & what people can expect to see there
   Include your Snapcode / Username Share URL
3. Add your Username Share URL / Snapcode to your email footer
4. Print your Snapcode on any printed materials used in your business
   Eg Coffee cups for a cafe
5. Simply tell people you are on Snapchat & give them your username to add
   Make sure your username is easy to spell / say
